Acupuncture for Mental Health Palm Beach

[/et_pb_text]

Acupuncture is an ancient tribal medicine that doesn’t see mental, spiritual or physical health as separate. In Chinese Medicine the organs all have a spirit and emotions attached to that organ.

Often in practice I have clients coming to me for a very physical problem, say a sore shoulder. After a few treatments they will often remark that they feel much more relaxed these days and they find this therapy works really well for managing their levels or stress and anxiety. This is the true beauty of Acupuncture and one of the main reasons I got into Acupuncture in the first place. During a treatment for mental health I will often use a mixture of massage, Acupuncture, Acutonics (Tuning Forks) and Chinese herbs. Here are some descriptions of each…

Chinese Herbs

While you are going through a stressful time Chinese herbs can really help calm your nervous system as well as help you sleep better. Some people’s constitution will constantly need a little help from herbs while others will only need a course of herbs for about 3 months as a kind of reset. They are all completely vegetarian and non-addictive. Safe to use even during pregnancy when correctly prescribed.

Massage

The power of touch shouldn’t be underestimated! Our mothers stroked and caressed us when we were upset as children. This helps to sooth us and bring us back into our bodies and calm our sensitive nervous systems.

Reiki

I use Reiki which is a form of energetic healing on my clients suffering from stress and anxiety as it really helps you get into a blissful state.

Acutonics

The use of differently resonating tuning forks onto specific Acupoints to deeply change the vibration in the body. This is also a very restorative treatment.

What treatment should you book in for?

A 60 minute or 90 minute massage and Acupuncture session for your first treatment is what I’d recommend.
